ORGANIC FOODS AND VEGETABLES - KEY TO EXPORT SUCCESS

To mitigate the hazard of exporting, vegetables production for commercial reason can clear up
the broken part of this problem. At the “National Vegetable Fair and Exhibition 2016,
Agricultural Minister Matia Chowdhury focused on commercial production of vegetables, so that
people can fulfill their domestic demand along with boosting export for the welfare of the
country.

At the fair, Minister Matia Chowdhury called the scientist and farmers for discussing how to
produce more vegetables and improve exporting in this part. As sea weed contains lots of
nutrition, Our Agricultural Minister and scientists focused on this sector by using new marine
resource. She also discussed about focusing on natural pesticide for producing safe organic foods
to fulfill the needs of local demand and for future export. The Government will highlight on
producing safer food and export market to fulfill the success of vegetable production. As there
are lots of demand for this commercial sector, The Chief guest of this fair Water Minister Anisul
Islam also gave emphasis on safe of pesticides and organic packaging for exporting vegetables
which can be very beneficial for a country like Bangladesh.

A total of 50 stalls were represented in the fair. Many Important people were presented in the
fair. Guests visited the stalls and joined a rally to promote and inspire agricultural producers,
scientist and entrepreneurs of the country. Shamol Klanti Ghosh, Secretary of Ministry of
Agriculture and Dr. Shahidur Rashid, Pro-VC of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University and
many were presented on that day.

As Bangladesh is a developing country, this vegetable commercial production can be a big part
of success. As we have enough resource and fertile place, with the help of Governments proper
facilities, farmers and scientist can make a big difference in our export part and can fulfill the
need of our country people’s nutrition.
