ABM stands for Accountancy, Business and Management. A course allowing you to
study the fundamentals of accounting and business management. This will prepare you
for your brighter future. You can get in Entrepreneurship, Banking, Accountancy,
Finance and Management. It only depends on your choice.
Im agine,
being an
Let's start with a brief description about our track. ABM has three specializations.
These are Accounting, Business, and Management.
What do those words mean?
Accounting is the measurement, processing, and communication of financial
information about economic entities. In other words, there is math here. But don't
worry, you will only be using the four basic operations! No Algebra, Geometry,
Trigonometry, or any other math subject you can think of. Next we have Business.
Business is an organization or enterprising entity engaged in commercial, industrial, or
professional activities. This is one of the most popular courses. You will be able to
learn how to run your own business and communicate with different types of people.
Last but not the least, we have Management. Management is the coordination of the
activities of a business in order to achieve defined objectives. Your leadership skills are
being developed in this specific area.
So... Why should I take this track?
You don't know what you're missing! You will be able to have the opportunity to
try running your own business. Who knows, you could actually be the next Steve Jobs.
You will be able to practice proper time management. Time management is very
important most especially when you get to Senior High with all the workload you will be
given by then. Choose wisely!
You will also learn these kind of benefits:
Skills
In this track, there will be skills that you will be able to develop and practice.
These skills are very applicable to almost any career and you will be surprised of the
great benefits it will give you.
Communication Skills
You will be learning how to communicate with different kinds of people. You
can't always stay in one corner and be quiet. Running a business involves
communication, but don't worry no one's going to scare you. You're eventually going to
speak up because people will be coming to you back and forth.
Finance Skills
Accounting is part of this track. As previously said in our last post, accounting has
math, but it's basically addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Through this,
you will understand how money really works and probably be able to know how to use it
wisely by then.
Collaboration Skills
You're not going to be alone when you have your own business. There will be
people who will be willing to help you. You also need to know how to communicate with
your co-workers and give them motivation because they're the ones who are going to be
with you in your company. You'll also be able to develop your negotiation skills as this
is one of the most important skills when you have a career.
Analytical Skills
You need to know how to use your common sense. When you get to the real
world, there may be scams out there and you might not be noticing it. In this track, you
will be able to practice this skill because this is also related to your finance skills.
Time Management
This is one of the greatest skills you can have, most especially once you get to
Senior High School. You need to know how to budget your time so that everything will
be simpler. All tracks will be experiencing heavy workloads, but maybe not so much for
ABM because you will be able to practice this skill when you get to this track.
Course overview
This is a flexible course allowing you to study the fundamentals of accounting
and business management with the option to then focus more deeply in either field. This
course will prepare you for a career in management accountancy, management
consultancy and business management. If you choose to specialize in business

accounTIPS: Process Through Success
By: Camile Rosal
An individual cannot achieve his goals in just a snap. He should work hard first;
and it takes time after you can say that you aim your goals.
Just like doing experimentation, striving for success has also step-by-step
process. In every process, it may turn into successful otherwise it is fail. But you can't
be satisfied enough in just one try. Remember, "Try and try until you succeed". You may
hear it many times still it gives motivation and enlightenment in every individuals who
are aspiring and dreaming.
So, I think my own steps on "How will I achieve my goals?". There are 5 steps
and I hereby state it:
You always know what you want and what will satisfy you. You may depend
your choice unto others but the decision will always be up to you.
"Follow what your mind and heart say". It may be sound romantic but it can be
also apply into decision making. It is true that follow what your heart beats and mind
says. No one can dictate on what and how you feel. You, only your self can make it and
decide.
After you decide for yourself, make sure that you are really decided on your
choice and ready for the consequences and struggles that may come. You may ask
yourself questions to clear and made up your mind.
Always have a YES answer for these questions: "Do I make the right decision?",
"Is this what I really want?" and "Can I make it?". These questions serve as your
assurance.
One thing to become successful is to have your goals. Asking yourself, "Why am
I doing this?". This will serve as your motivation. It is important to encourage yourself
because it will be the way to put more effort and be more productive for achieving what
you want.
In setting your goals, don't mind the difficulties just think that you can do it.
It is not about what the others will think towards you but it is about dedicating
what you do for yourself. Of course, it is important that you will meet the expectation of
the people around you and you will give all your efforts for them but always think for
yourself, that it is for you not for the others. And while you are on "working" process,
always think the time that you spend, the hard work and your dreams.
After what you've done such as making your own decision, choosing what you
want and assure what you have decide. What you need next is to dedicate all your
actions for yourself even your goals because base on what I've said, you are doing this
for yourself; you are doing this because you want it and you are doing this because you
want to prove something.
Maybe "for yourself" is stated repeatedly but that's the point. Everything that you
do is for yourself. You dream for yourself. You work hard for yourself. It is not being
selfish, it is having dedication.
The final step is, whatever it may takes and whatever the result may come still
continue and walk to the path that you carve until you reach the "success". And it will
not happen if an individual will not start a move.
In order to achieve “success” each must take the risk because no one achieved
their success without difficulties and hardships.
An individual do not stop once s/he reach the goal of his/her life instead s/he
must continue and build up more aim.
One more thing that I want to share is my experience in doing business matters.
Back when I was 10 years old, I experienced selling stuffs like bags, toys, accessories
etc. with my mother in the market or in tiangge. Then starting high school, I experienced
selling in our own shop in the mall. I also used to buy our items together with my mother
and I experienced being a cashier in our shop. All of these are such a good experience
for me because I learned so many things and I enjoyed what I'm doing as well.
In every trials, there has a reward. After the busy schedule, exam week,
submissions of iLS (I Learn & Share), thesis and defense, we had our own kind of
relaxation. We had an ABM Day Celebration last March 21, 2017 held in STI Balagtas
Campus with a theme of Advancing Business Management.
The program started in the afternoon with an energetic masters of ceremony who
welcome all ABM students, teachers, and guests in STI. Then, the guest speaker gives
an inspirational message to motivates the ABM students to keep pursuing their dreams.
After that, the Product Commercial Challenge began wherein every section has their
chosen representatives to perform their prepared commercial. It brought a loud laugh
and energetic cheers and screams for those ABM students who watched each
performance. Then, it followed by the Marketing/Sales talking Challenge wherein each
representatives expressed their skills in a word-of-mouth marketing that gives an idea
and strategy for others. There’s also had a Mr. and Ms. ABM that made the crowd
giggled and wildly cheer for their bias. The program ended by the announcing of
winners, then by giving the souvenirs for every students. Afterwards, all ABM students
took their selfies and groupies with their business/formal attire. Then, they leave the
school event with smiles drawn on their faces.
This is just a sample of being an ABM student here in STI Balagtas Campus.
Yes, it is very stressful and exhausted sometimes but at the end of the day, it has full of
learning that we can use in our entire life. Therefore, I realize that I made the right
choice because after all, I proved that it’s more fun in ABM!

MOTIVATION TOWARDS SUCCESS
The only difference between the extremely successful among us, in any field, and the
unknown…
The only difference: The successful guy didn’t give up.
He found a way, when there seemed to be no way.
The other guy… He threw in the towel.
When it comes to success there is rarely ever a time when luck comes into play.
Hard Work however always comes into play.
There is no greater satisfaction in life than that of hard work paying off.
No greater satisfaction than knowing you are self made.

Everyone has all the capabilities to move forward, just not everyone sees it. And
your task is to find your own path that will lead you to the life that you want. To reach
success you need to find your calling. Something you’d really like to do. When work is a
pleasure, your soul is rejoicing, so your ability is manifested in all its glory. This is very
important if you are targeting not only the money, but also a positive, happy life. That is
my beliefs in life that if you are working without thinking the money that you’ve earn but
to work full of passion and happiness at your work is a work without the feeling that you
are working. To reach success you need to step the first steps of your life and that is
“Education”, because in life there’s no elevator towards success, you have to take the
