California State

History:

California was first settled by various Native American tribes before it was
explored by the European expedition. It was claimed by the Spanish Empire in
1600. Alta California became part of Mexico in 1821 following its successful war
for independence. Then in the Mexican American war, the United States won, and
then claimed California as part of the United States. In 1848, it was admitted as
the 31st state on September 9, 1850.

Economic:

California is one of the most popular states in the United States it is one of the
richest states in this country. Also, half of the fresh fruit produced in the United
States are now cultivated in California, and the state also leads in the production
of vegetables. Other important contributors to its economy include aerospace,
education, manufacturing, and high- tech industry. If it were a country, California
would be the 9th largest economy in the world and the 34th most populous. More
foods are produced in California than any other state.

Geographic:

California is the 3rd largest state in the United States after Alaska and Texas. The
capital of California is Sacramento. It population is 38, 041,430 people. In the
middle of the state lies the California central valley, bounded by the coastal
maintain ranges in the west. The Sierra Nevada to the east, the cascade range in
the north and the Tehachapi mountains in the south, the central valley is
California’s agricultural heartland. California’s climate varies from Mediterranean
to subarctic. Much of the state has a Mediterranean climate, with cool, rainy
winter and dry summers. Earthquakes are really common in California. The state is
located on the San Andrea fault, which cuts across California and form the
tectonic boundary between the pacific and the North American plate. There are
many thousands of small earthquake per year, most of them are so small that they
are not even felt.
