To whom it may concern,

It’s my absolute pleasure to recommend Lisa Crider for any elementary school teaching position.

Lisa has been my student teacher from August 28, 2020 through November 20, 2020.

I thoroughly appreciated having Lisa work with me, especially in our current environment. To give you some
background I teach 5th grade in a concurrent teaching situation. This means that Lisa has had experience
teaching students who are face to face in the classroom while simultaneously teaching 6 students virtually. This
means teaching with a mask on all day, modifying lessons to adhere to our current pandemic rules and safety
procedures, and generally teaching in a way that is somewhat contrary to the way she has been learning to teach
in college.

Lisa has the ability to jump right in and do anything that is asked. She taught full time for about 4 weeks and
handled things beautifully. She has learned to be flexible and roll with it when things do not go as planned,
because we all know things often don't go as planned.

Her disposition will make her an asset to absolutely any team. She is honest, dependable, and incredibly hard-
working. She is often in the building before me and spends time at home working as well. If I ask her to do
something or tell her she will be teaching something, she is always prepared.

She truly understands the demands of teaching and seems up to the challenge, Lisa has been an absolute joy to
work with. She is a true team player and makes positive connections with the students. She also jumps right in
to grade level collaboration meetings as well.

Without a doubt, I confidently recommend Lisa Crider for a teaching position within Virginia Beach City
Public Schools. As a dedicated and knowledgeable student teacher and an all-around great person, I know that
she will be a great addition to any grade level.

Please feel free to contact me at julie.bryan@vbschools.com should you like to discuss Lisa Crider’s
qualifications and experience further. I’d be happy to expand on my recommendation.

Best wishes,

Julie Bryan
