Q- Use your own words to describe the situation in Scotland.

To begin with, Macbeth is now considered a tyrant. He is a cruel and oppressive ruler that’s
only concerned about his throne and nothing else, the megalomania had him blindfolded and
put Scotland in a state of complete chaos and anarchy, everything is out of control, people
are starving as Scotland is low on food, murdering and stealing rates increased abundantly,
many senseless deaths have occurred because of the absence of the law.

Q- Is there any hope for Scotland? Where does it lie?

I would say yes, there is hope left for Scotland, and it lies in the English king’s hands, king
Edward, since MacDuff has fled away pleading and asking for help to regain control on
Scotland and overthrow Macbeth off the throne by starting a battle against Macbeth. This
way, Malcom will take his rightful throne which is inherited from his father and rule
Scotland.
