FA MEDICINE TO CURE MENTAL ILLNESS (AKOSE IFA ITOJU WERE) BY

In this work Babalawo obanifa will reveal and document some of the potent Ifa medicine
for treatment of Mental illness (Akose Ifa Itoju were)  that is available in Yoruba
spirituality for treatment of person with mental illness. Mental illness refers to wide range
of mental health conditions – disorder that affect one’s behavior, mood and thinking.
Examples are depression, anxiety, disorder, Schizophrenia, eating disorder and addictive
behaviors. So any health condition involving changes in thinking, emotion and behavior
or combination of these is deem to be mental illness. Since what we are majorly concern
with in this present work is to document different Ifa medicine for treatment of mental
illness. I will go straight to the assignment. Below are detail explanation and full
documentation of some different Ifa medicine that can be used to cure mental illness.

Akose Ifa Iwori Okaran Lati toju Were( Ifa Medicine from Iwori Okanran For
treatment Of Mental Illness)
Ewe Abirikolo(leaves of Crotalaria Lachinophora)

Ewe Aidan (leaves of  Tetrapleura Tetraptera)

Ewe Obi  (leaves of kola Acuminata)

Ewe Igun(leaves of Tephrosia Vogelli)

Oko ofee(Vetivera Ngritana)

Ose dudu ( local black soap)

Iyerosun ( Ifa consultation powder)

 Preparation
All the aforementioned leaves should be obtained fresh. Pound them together with pestle
and mortal to form a paste. You will sundry it, You will use Iyerosun to imprint Odu Ifa
Iwori Okanran thus:

You will chant the following Ifa Inacantation on it thus:
Obi nib o arun mole
Abrikolo loni ki gbogbo ajogun ibi o pehinda leyin lagbaja
Nijo ti a ba gbo Igun s’odo ni pa  eja ni ibu
Gbogbo were ara re ni ko pa
Aidan ma fi were  dan wo mon
Orun oko ofeAidan , ma  je ki ajogun ibi o duro ti lagbaja
Gbogbo alujonu ki parapo je ose dudu.
Translation:
It is the obi that overpower diseases
Abrikolos say that all evil spirit should withdraw themselves from ( you will mention the
name of the person )
It is the day that Igun leaves is squeeze into the river, it on that day that it kill fishes
Go and elinmate the mental illness in( you will mention the name of the person)
Aidan don’t tempt him with mental illness anymore
The scent odors from Oko ofe  should not allow evil spirit to stay with (You will mention
the name of the person)
All the evil spirit doesn’t gather to eat Ose dudu.
You will preserve it in a bottle.
Uses: one table spoon of the preparation should be added to corn mean meal for the
patient with mental illness every morning.

Akose ifa Irosun Meji Lati Toju Were ( Ifa Medicine from Irosun Meji To Cure
Mental Illness)
Ewe igi Ojiji(leaves Of Dalbergia Lactea)
Ewe olora Igbo(leaves Of Rauvolva Vomitoria)
Eja Ojiji (one electric eel /electric fish)
Iyerosun(ifa consultation powder)
Preparation
You will grind the two aforementioned leaves, you will use Iyerosun (Ifa consultation
powder ) to imprint Odu Ifa Irosun meji on it thus:

You will chant the following incantations on it thus:
Ojiji igi lo ni ki arar re  ji
Oloraigbo loni ki iye re ko ma ra
Eja ojoji loni ki opolo re ji
Translation
It is Ojiji igi that says your body should be revived
Olora igbo says that you should not lose your memory
Ojiji fish say that your brain should be revived
.You will pour it inside the pot with the fish and leaves. Cook and give it to the person
with mental illness to eat.

Akose Ifa Owonrin Iwori fun Itoju Were ( Ifa  medicine from Owonrin Iwori to
treat Mental illness)
Kanhun bilala die (trona)
Eeru(Xylopia Aethiopical)
Ewe ati egbo ako dodo (leaves and roots of Vocanga Africana)
Iyerosun(Ifa consultation powder).
Preparation
All the aforementioned excluding the Iyerosun will be boil inside water. You will use the
Iyerosun to imprint Odu Ifa Owonrin Iwori thus:

You will chant the following Ifa incantations on it thus:

Ewe ako  dodo ni wo asiwin

Egbo ako do ni wo asiwere
Epo ako dodo ni wo ara ti ko ya.
Transaltion:
It is dodo leaves that cure mad person
It is root of dodo that cure mental illness
The back stem of dodo cures the body of ailment.
You will pour the iyerosun inside the decoction
: Uses
The patient will be drinking it once a day early in the morning.
