1. What are the things a student must wear in the laboratory? Give the
importance of each material.
- In the laboratory we should and must wear a standard lab attire like
*Closed-toe shoes - that cover the top of the foot and are made of
leather or synthetic leather or another material that resists rapid
penetration by spilled liquids or sharps.
*Lab coat- Long-sleeved laboratory coat with ribbed cuffs, or gown or
coveralls, made from flame-retardant material.
Chemical-resistant apron and sleeves for handling corrosives and
chemicals that are toxic when absorbed through the skin.
*Eye protection such as:
Safety spectacles with side shields.
Goggles for handling chemicals that can cause eye damage.
Supplement goggles with a face shield when risk of injury is great.
Gloves - Examination gloves are appropriate for routine lab activities.
To avoid contact with toxic chemicals, use gloves made specifically to
resist hazards or chemicals.

2. How will you avoid accidents in a laboratory? Give at least three

Staying safe in the lab means knowing the dangers that we could
encounter, so we must be aware.
*To avoid accidents I/we must know the basic safety rules.
*Always wear a Lab attire like goggles, gloves, gown for the safety in any
accidents.
* Behave and follow instructions to our teachers, instructors or the one
who’s in charge in the laboratory then avoid unnecessary movements.

3. What is the important of knowing laboratory safety?

The important of knowing laboratory is to be aware and know what to do in
the laboratory.
