    Second Two Body Paragraphs

    Students do not become better writers in an environment where there is little to no

    preparation in a classroom. There has to be an engaging environment where students can enjoy

    and actually learn strategies to have better writing skills. “Recent studies have shown that many

    teachers are ill-prepared to teach writing… Others are great at teaching it but lack time to give

    their overflowing classes the meaningful feedback so critical to improving writing”

    (Washingtonpost.com). This can cause problems for students because what is being taught

    currently in secondary schools will not be effective for those who are moving towards college.

    The skill of writing is underrated and not valued like other subjects; this leads to students

    not improving their skills when it comes to writing. Writing is complex, there’s no exact formula

    like there is with math or science. It is up to the writer to learn strategies in order to improve

    their writing. “Previous research has strengthened the idea that writing is one of the most

    powerful and fundamental tools, not only to learn, but to communicate and share knowledge”.
