Saturday Morning, Tita Tita Carl a gay man was heading to local market to buy some
ingredients for he will be cooking tinulang isda for him and his live-in partner Ronnie
because it was Valentine’s Day. Ronnie was an invalid person because his both legs
was amputated due to severe wounds he got from an ambush and because he was an
orphan Tita Carl took care of Ronnie and eventually fell in love with him.

While in the local market, Tita Carl bumped in to Rodel and Dotdot who were being
mocked by fish vendors because of their cross-eyed fish. With Tita Carl’s help, they
headed back to the fish vendor and told them that the fish were actually an in-demand
fish to Chinese due to its ability to heal hubak and because of that Rodel and Dotdot
was able to sell the fish at a rightful price even though Tita Carl suggested to sell it to
the vendor who gave a higher price.

Rodel and Dotdot gave tita Carl one of their fish thanking him for his help and then tita
Carl went home and prepare the food for him and his partner Ronnie. The news about
the cross-eyed fish circulated fast in the whole town, said Totong while heading to the
table to have meal with them and he warn tita Carl to prepare himself for there was an
ongoing emergency meeting in the city hall because they got alarmed of that cross-eyed
fish that tita Carl was telling about.

That night of the same day, Tita Carl was forcedly held by the Policemen who
gatecrashed his home and immediately placed inside a police mobile. He then knew
that the reason why he was captured was because he is gay and that was because the
municipal leaders decided to conduct a Holy hour and get all the gays the first one to be
reconciled back to Christ because they got alarmed of the existence of the cross-eyed
fish.

Tita Carl burst out of anger inside the jail thinking of reasons why would they blame
them for the fish that became cross-eyed? Not long enough, a group of people
protested to let all the gays out of prison, they succeeded to free them, they celebrate
and Monday came tita Carl and Totong filed their candidacy, despite many are mocking
them they won and ruled as Mayor and Councilor of their town.
