Story:
Joe was going to the Los Angeles- a city in california state of USA, airport to see
his grandfather off. But he was so sad because he got bad results in the English
test. Even his over all performance was good he was grief-stricken. He is a good
student, sagacious, all ears to his classes, but not a foolish boy. Thats why he
was not a square peg in a roublnd hole at all. But what actually happened, before
the English Test, his uncle James, was treading the middle aisle. He was all set
for marriage as he had a job for making a living, even he got a raise that month.
Joe and his uncle James has great fraternising such as birds of a feather. Thats
why he had to go to New York from Los Angeles to the wedding. The reason does hold
water. But Joe was blaming himself and thinking to knock off. Yes, uncle James is a
big shot for him. But his study is also very important. His grandfather thought
that he needs to be motivated. So he sat with him to give exhortation and gave him
a pencil. Joe became so flabbergasted looked at him and said that he was not worthy
of pencil after doing this in the exam. He was very amazed. His grandfather
explains, 'You can learn a lot from this pencil, because it is like you. It feels
pain when it's suffering from sharping it, just as you did not do well in your
exams. However, it will help you to be a good student. Just like the good things
that come from pencils comes from it, so you will have the power to cross this
obstacle. And finally, just as this pencil creates his mark on a page, so you will
leave your sign in some of your choice. Attention, sense and industry is very
necessary. If you can keep your sense focused on study you can do well.So be
prudent about your studies. Always remember life is not a bed of roses. Problems of
life will rain cats and dogs over you. At that moment, you shouldnt lose
confidence. So keep your confidence under lock and key. Keep the monotony in the
blacklist. Take a break and start again. Dont play favorites, give importance to
all subjects equally. Thus you can be successful.' He lastly said, "We have the
strength to be what we want to be between us." Joe felt motivated. The overcast of
melancholy was disaapeared from his mind. A flood of inspiration sweeps over him.
He came to terms and he promised himself that will do better.
