GE when expanded becomes General Electric is one of the world’s most admired and
diversified conglomerates that is running successfully since 1892. The group has
presence in technology, energy, infrastructure, medical and healthcare, capital
finance, logistics which shows the way in which GE has managed to build its
capabilities through knowledge sharing to exploit the opportunities whilst it is
engaged with numerous suppliers, vendors and clients around the world (Cant et al.
2009). The core capabilities which GE has build globally is dependent on the
leadership acumen and style which is instrumental in harnessing the knowledge of
the employees to become more service solution centric. This approach generated the
product centric stronghold and contributed to more streams of revenue which
increased the revenues. Also the use of IT helped GE to leverage the knowledge and
stretched its capabilities to satisfy the client requirements which no other
competitor did. The vast offering of the portfolio also was a boon as clients were
likely to take up more than one
