LAPTOP BUYING GUIDE

Some important points to be kept in mind

 A minimum of 256 GB of SSD is a must


 Go for reputable brands which provide good service. (Don’t buy MSI, Razer,
Honor, Avita laptops; Avoid brands like Xiaomi(MI), Acer if possible)
 Buy accidental damage protection if you can get it for around 5k for 2 years.
 Buy a good laptop in 1 st year itself; don’t buy a cheap one thinking that you
will upgrade to a better one in 2 nd or 3rd year.
 Gaming laptops are not only useful for gaming but also for tasks like
video/photo editing. So a good gaming laptop will be a good choice.
GST Benefits

 If you father/guardian is a businessman then check with your CA or concerned


person whether you are eligible for GST return.
 If you are eligible, you can save around 15.25 %(18% of the base price) on the price
of the laptop.
 Ask your dealer for a GST invoice.
 Flipkart, Amazon and all other leading online platforms give an option for a GST
invoice.

MACBOOKS

 Don’t buy the 2017 13 inch MacBook (the cheapest one)


 If you are considering mac then wait for sometime as the new MacBook air
and entry level MacBook pro 13’’ with apple silicon might have software
compatibility issues.
 Go for intel macs if you want a MacBook urgently.
