Vocabulary:

1. Technical Writing- is defined as all written communication done on the job for practical
purposes. The principal purpose is getting something done. Some examples are minutes,
reports, and resumes.
Example: Technical writing is evidence-based.

2. Minutes- is defined as a meeting report of what was said and decided.


Example: The class minutes were corrected.

3. Clarity- easily understood by the intended audience


Example: There is a lack of clarity in the instructions.

4. Accuracy- factual, correct, free from bias


Example: The professor checked the reports for accuracy.

5. Comprehensiveness- all necessary information


Example: A series of examinations of the research is necessary for more
comprehensiveness.

6. Accessibility- the quality of being an easy approach; some examples are heading,
indexes, table of contents.
Example: The table of contents gives you greater accessibility to find the
documents in the report.

7. Conciseness- the quality of being clear


Example: The student had conciseness because he said a lot in a few words.

8. Correctness- grammatical and follows conventions


Example: The quality of correctness is demonstrated in the report since it is free
of spelling errors.

9. Outline- is defined as a summary list of written work


Example: Students were required to give an outline for the research.

10. Resume- a technical document to present the case that your experience and skills make
you a great candidate for a particular job.
Example: Veronica’s resume is clear and simple.

11. Cover Letter- is a letter of introduction attached to other documents such as a resume.
Example: Joel's cover letter impressed the jury.
12. Trip Report- a report prepared after a business trip, conference, seminar, or workshop to
document contacts and lessons.
Example: I prepared my trip report of the conference "Online studies: How to take
advantage, which I attended on September 28, 2020.

13. Progress Report- a report to cover activities that occurred during a specific period.
Example: The progress report was extensive.

14. Upcycle- is creative reuse with the result of a product of high value than the original.
Example: The tin can organizer is an efficient upcycle project.

15. G.M.O- genetically modified organism; is a plant, animal, or other organism modified in
a laboratory using genetic engineering or transgenic technology.
Example: These canola crops are GMO products.

16. Globalization- means interconnection global at the economic, social, cultural, and
technological levels.
Example: Globalization arises from capitalism.

17. Roundup- herbicide made by Monsanto national company


Example: Roundup intake is dangerous.

18. Monoculture- an agricultural technique to produce a single crop at a time


Example: The Colombian coffee is cultivated with the monoculture technique.

19. Venue- a place where occurs specific events


Example: The Hilton hotel could soon be the venue for a medical conference.

20. Buyer Log- track for the purchases


Example: The buyer log helps me know what I bought in the week.
