Question 1 Answer
In complex inheritance traits have a genetic component that does not follow
the Mendelian inheritance. The inheritance may involve the interaction of
two or more genes or gene-environment interactions. In chapter 10,
inheritance patterns follow Mendelian inheritance as in the case of dominant
or recessive.

Question 2 Answer
In epistasis the result of one allele is hiding the effects of another allele.
This is different from dominance because it is the result of such a trait, not
the actual effect

Question 3 Answer
The father genotype is going to be AO and mother genotype is BO

Question 4 Answer
If twins are grown in two different environments, the study will be very
helpful as this will help in ruling out environmental influences. As twins
with the same genotype are grown in different environments, the study can
investigate for the effect of genotype on their behavior.

Question 5 Answer
In sickle cell disease, heterozygous condition is advantageous. It provides
resistance malaria. A heterozygote advantage describe the case in which the
heterozygote genotype has a higher relative fitness that either the
homozygote dominant or homozygote recessive genotype.

Question 6 Answer
As the mother is homozygous normal there is a 100% probability that the
son will have normal vision. This is because color blindness disease is
linked to the X chromosome inherited from his mother. The son will inherit
the Y chromosome from his father.
