    A logo is an image that represents a company

    Seven basic types of logos

    1 letter marks (monograms) consisting of 2 or more letters that are derived from the company name.
    e.g. TM, OK, ZTF, hp

    2 word marks logos an actual logo that represent a company e.g. game, fedex, dell, Lenovo,
    facebook, google, bata, coca cola, pick n pay, disney

    3 pictorial marks these are pictures that represent a company e.g., puma, chicken inn, lacoste, apple

    4 abstract marks an image not easily recognizable e.g. benz, hundai, pepsi, adidas, chanel, mistubish,
    nike,

    5 mascots logo images illustrated characters. Cartoons


    6 Ambling logos combination of images e.g. school badges cut,

    7 combination logos it is the combination of different types of logo

    Characteristics of a good logo

    It has to be simple

    Memorable

    Versatile – possible to apply the logo to a variety of products

    sometimes other forms of promotion and marketing mainly for startups. Creatively incorporate a
    pencil into the word pencil.
