Materials:
Warm up video, questions, grammar worksheet, grammar casino.

Stage Activity Description Time


Introduction or To introduce the theme of advertising, have students spend a few moments looking at the video about 15 min
warm up the effects of ads on people.

 What is the first perception they have?


 Do you buy any of these products?
 Why? What types of ads do you think we are the most exposed to daily?
 Which one do you find the most effective?
 What makes people spend so much money?

Hand out students some pieces of paper with a part of the questions and have them get together, build
the questions and provide an answer based on the video.

What makes people spend money on a product?
Extension In other words have students discuss why people put their money on a product. Example: a cellphone. 20 min
activity Get answers and lead the discussion with students.

Teaching compound adjectives and adjective order.

Have students think of any object they have or own right now. Have them give those objects some
descriptions. That would most likely be their cellphone, so write cellphone on the board and write all
descriptions they come out with.
But try to emphasize in this ones.

Size, age, shape, color, origin, material. But you will write them in different order

Then have them organize those descriptions in the correct order, since they won’t be able to find the
correct order of adjectives.

you will hand them out copy and together we will study it. we will do the exercises on the paper and
finally I will ask them to read the lecture on page 111 and do exercise 4, the they will discuss what kind
of adjective is each according to the order.

Wrap-up or Play a game called grammar casino to wrap up this lesson. Basically follow the instructions on the 30 min
closure activity. worksheet. Hand out students a worksheet a play together.
