Society and Culture

One important thing that sent an actual impact to me in society and culture
is the notion that Different society have different cultures. In next to no less than
an instant. I was sent by an urge to find out what is the differences between
society and culture? In what manner did it laid out the notion that every society
has a different culture? What are their relationship in the first place and is it
possible for them to not exist in our modern day community? These questions
may be so confusing to wrap your understanding about, but this is just how
complex society and culture is.
In all the questions above. Another thought that popped out is that it's kind
of pointless thinking about it . I don't know it's relevance, impact, and how it will
change my views or concept about the society of where I stand. And does even
studying this will yield something in return? So as I battle that load of claptrap
occupying my head. The thought that it was pointless was quickly slapped away in
a manner that left half of my face burning. Not even thinking about the
importance of culture in shaping our identities. It was what give birth in our
customs, languages and more. Do not even deny the fact that it influence us in the
way we speak to others. The way we treat strangers, our manners, and even how
we perform filial piety to our parents. And even what is right or wrong in our
perspective. It even set us apart from different kinds of people. One example of
that is how foreigners views the filipinos as a warm and very hospitable people
and how we can all still smile even in the face of adversity. It includes our way of
life , our traditions, lifestyles, and shapes our customs. And that's only a tip of an
iceberg on what culture is, and how important it was in our society. So just
imagine a society without a culture. Although that is quite impossible to happen
since as long as humans are alive. Society will always be present and culture will
be the integral part or the central core of a human society. The thing that I had
taken note was that it was all natural or pre-ordained. It's like as long as men
exists; culture and society will never be erased. Wanna know why? Because I feel
like it will unconsciously form when people establish groups. And for a group to
function completely, it needs order and rules, and as people interact with each
other. Culture is one by one birthed. Ranging from languages, behaviors, myths,
beliefs, traditions, norms, laws, customs, lifestyles, and so much more. Culture
extends virtually in everything that we do. Culture decides what is the right food
to eat. It decides what words are allowed to be said. It decides what clothes is
proper to wear. Virtually anything is influenced by culture. You can actually think
of culture as a lens in which we viewed the world. It decides whether what we see
is right but when you look at another society. You will find that what you thought
is right is different in that society. You may even find customs or practices that
completely go against in what you believe. So in order to see deeper in the
cultures of others. It is imperative that we put down our lens and look deeper into
something without it.
Of course, culture can also be influenced by external factors. One glaring
examples of that is the spanish colonization. It left behind enormous influence
even in the present day. Think about the fiesta in every towns. They were also the
one to introduce us the Roman Catholic. It even left behind marks in our
languages and names. It became one of the important pieces of our history which
have in fact forced us to change our way of living. I am not making things up and
my words has considerable background and feasibilty.jj
Now, let's talk about how important society is to culture. I can summarize it
into one sentence. There will be no culture without society. If you are wondering
how I came in that conclusion. Let's first have an in-depth discussion of what is
society in the first place.
