Ensure that resources are available to accomplish the task safely and that the work is performed according to the company's Safety & Health management system. Project Engineer 1. Inspect, or designate a competent person to inspect equipment and hardware weekly or more often as needed. 4. Check periodically to ensure that:- + Inspection and maintenance programs are being followed + Equipment is regularly inspected and in good working condition 5. Provide signaler when necessary 6. Obtain training required to:- ‘© Operate lifting and hoisting equipment * Work as a signaler 2. Inspect liting, hoisting and rigging devices before each use 3. Ensure that all equipment are in good working order 4. Inspect, maintain and use personal protective equipment correctly 5. Before lift + Be aware of hazards + Secure load + Know load weight and centre of gravity 6. During lift- ‘+ Never exceed working load limits + Never suspend load unattended ‘Never swing load over workers ‘+ Use taglines to control load Keep signaler within visual or voice contact at all times.
