1.Primary research is any type of research that you collect yourself. Examples include surveys,
interviews, observations, and ethnographic research.

2.Giving employees opportunities for job enlargement is one-way Dome Hospital could
encourage nurses. This system gives their employees more responsibility by adding additional
smaller tasks to their normal job. This system allows for employees to feel less monotony at
work and repetition while at the workplace. Hopefully this will allow the nurses to enjoy their jobs
more thoroughly and encourage other nurses to join. Offer a type of reward system or program
allowing for opportunities for promotions and raises. If this incentive is given then nurses will
likely be encouraged to stay in Ghana if they see there are high opportunities to excel to and
achieve. This type of program may not be available in other hospitals outside of the country
thus, keeping the nurses locally available. This will also encourage motivation during their time
working at the hospital, which is another secondary benefit.

3.There are many potential benefits to having Afua’s support. One of them is the fact that they
are trying to change the laws in favor of Dome Hospital. If Afua is successful in this then that will
almost immediately bring change to the Dome Hospital situation. There is likely to be a higher
influx of nurses needing jobs locally that will seek out Dome Hospital. It will reduce the
competition that the nurses can apply to therefore giving a boost to Dome Hospital’s hiring pool.
This would allow the hospital an increase in employees without much need for change or
encouragement/incentive. Afua will also be able to bring new ideas that the company can not so
that they will have fresh influence and new ideas from an outside organization.

4.The advantages of the recruitment strategy of Done Hospital’s recruitment strategy is that it
offers job enrichment. This will encourage more people that are more ambitious to apply for the
job. Thus, bringing a more productive work force into their hospital.

However, this is also a disadvantage because it costs them more money to give their
employees for improved pay and working conditions.One disadvantage is that they can not
increase the quality of the external environment as far as living goes in Ghana. Which is
potentially part of why the nurses move to other countries in the first place. One advantage of
this recruitment strategy is that it is targeted at nurses that have left the country with the website
which allows them to see potentially increased value of working back in their home country and
persuades them to return.
