ABSTRACT

This project is a web based online shopping system for Habesha shop. Today’s world
marketing system online shopping system in Ethiopia online shopping not adaptable
and no online marketing system due to this factor ours country at poverty. To solve
our country problem this project very important. Habesha online shopping can selling
any available goods store in Habesha online shop to customers .Any customer can
buying goods from Habesha online shop through via internet anywhere at any time.
This project is an attempt to provide the advantages of online shopping to customers
of a real shop. Thus the customer will get the service of online shopping and home
delivery from shop Habesha online shop. If shops are providing an online portal
where their customers can enjoy easy shopping from anywhere, the shops won’t be
losing any more customers to the trending online shops. Habesha online shop can
selling to distributor and end user like electronics material, cloth, vehicle, end product
of any company/factory agricultural product

1. INTRODUCTION

This project is a web based shopping system for Habesha online shop. Habesha
online shop home delivery system customer wants. the online shopping via internet.
Online shopping is the process whereby consumers directly buy goods or services
from a seller in real-time, without an intermediary service, over the Internet. It is a
form of electronic commerce. This project is an attempt to provide the advantages of
online shopping to customers of a real shop. It helps buying the products in the shop
anywhere via internet. Thus the customer will get the service of online shopping and
home delivery from Habesha online shopping.

1.1STATEMENT OF PROBLEM

The basic problems with the Habesha shop systems works manually are the non-
interactive environment they provide to the users. In Ethiopia currently marketing
system is traditional works manually buyer must be go to shop to buy any goods. For
instance one person live in Kombolcha who wants buying Tecno Camon 12 mobile
not available in Kombolcha electronics shop, so customer must be go to Addis Ababa
electronics shop to buying these mobile. The traditional marketing system in Ethiopia
many problem on shopping system for both customer and shoppers.

Traditional marketing system in Ethiopia has the following problem:-

 Decreasing the numbers of users

 Time consuming

 Money wastage for user

 Less friendly relation between customers and shoppers

 Decreasing income of shoppers

To solve this problem we propose Hbesha Online shopping system. Customer can buy
any goods from Hbesha Online shopping system via internet. Hbesha Online shopping
system delivers to end user or customer by home delivery system.

1.2 OBJECTIVE

1.2.1GENERAL OBJECTIVE

The main objective of this project is design a web based system Hbesha Online
shopping system to exchange of goods and services in real shop.

1.2.2 SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE

 To provide web based system for online shopping of products in an traditional of


Hbesha shop.

 To Create friendly relation between customers and shoppers

 This project design to minimize wastage of user by using home delivering system

 This project design to Sell and buy goods or product online.

1.3 SIGNIFICANT OF THE PROJECT

 Promote company’s products, services or events on the Internet.

 Selling a product or a service online

 Providing product support and customer service

 Providing corporate information

 Minimize resource wastage

 Minimize time wastage

1.4 PROJECT SCOPE

This project will be developing a web based Habesha shopping System for our shops.
The project is enable fast and available service for the customer.

In Habesha online shopping system it can perform the following tasks.

 Registration of the new customers

 Post new item or goods

 Delete product or goods

 View product or goods

 Manage users

 View goods

 Manage accounts.

1.5 LITERATURE REVIEW

1.5.1. Introduction

Habesha online shopping web based system that is to be developed is to minimize the
problem of current system in Ethiopia. The system actors can access our system by
entering the name and id in the login page and to be effective at the time of
registration, update, Search and view available products or service.

eBay is the world's largest online marketplace, where practically anyone can buy and
sell practically anything. eBay connects a diverse and passionate community of
individual buyers and sellers, as well as small businesses.. In addition, for purchasing
an item, this website also includes additional information such as reviews on item
details. Therefore, before user can sell or buy an item, user must first register as a
member by filling up a once registered, user will have a user ID and a password to

Amazon

The company began as an online bookstore; while the largest brick and mortar
bookstores. The goal is to have every product in the alphabet order.

Amazon.com is a very informative website. In addition, for purchasing an item, this


website also includes additional information such as reviews on item details.
Therefore, before user can sell or buy an item, user must first register as a member by
filling up a form. There are differences between member as a seller and as a buyer, for
buyer, there is no register fee to apply a member, but being a member as a seller, there
are fee that must be paid.

Once registered, user will have a user ID and a password to continue selling or buying
items. Amazon.com search engine is based on the categories that listed based on the

Lelong

Lelong.com.my is a local Malaysian shopping online system that has a similar system
with one of the international shopping online system, eBay, but it is more
concentrated with online shopping in Malaysia, through local flavor, lelong.com.my
mentioned that members will feel the sensation of belonging. (3) (Wikipedia .com)

1.6 Methodology

1.6.1 Data collection

There are different methods of data collection methods. From those we used the
following methods respectively to collect data from the different shops.

 Direct Observation: we have observed in the Ethiopian Kombolcha marketing system


is traditional and also we have observed how the System works manually.

 Interview: we have been interviewing the buyer and seller in Kombolcha market and
we get enough and reliable data which is important to do the project (4)

 Document analysis: we analyzing the manual resources of the market how the current
system operates.

1.6.2 System development methodology

There are different types of software development methodologies from this we used: -

 Object oriented system analysis and design methodology: Is software development


methodology by building self-contained modules or objects. This methodology has
the following futures increased reusability, increased extensibility, proved quality, and
reduced maintenance burden and managed complexity.

1.6.3 Development tool

1.6.3.1 Hardware tools required

 Personal computer (PC): almost all tasks of our project are performed on computer.

 Flash disk: required for data movement to store & transfer data from one PC to
another PC.

 Disks (CD, DVD): necessary for the movement, backup and recovery mechanism of
relevant data.

 Paper and pen: for writing all necessary documentations associated with the project.

1.6.3.2 Software tools required

 Windows 8.1 Operating system: will be used for the system since it is readily
available in laboratories.

 Firefox, chrome browsers: -since our system is web based, it is very necessary
requirement.

 Microsoft office Word 2016: -for documenting the corresponding deliverables

 Edraw max 9.3: -for designing Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams.

 Wamp Server: -to test the system.

 Sublime text :- to write code of the system
