Post Before/After

Honestly, who can resist a good before and

after? Everyone loves transformation stories!

If you have a business where befores and afters

are easy to do, you can take a snap before your
work your magic and then post your after.

For example, if you’re an interior decorator or

organizer, post a before pic and then the end

result after you’ve come in.

Or, if you’re a photographer, post a before pic of

an unedited photo and then an after pic once

you’ve done your edits.

You can also post befores and afters of your

customer transformations, which leads us into

the next idea.

STORIES
post testimonials
Post Testimonials

How often you post testimonials will depend on how many you have, your overall posting schedule,
and whether you’re in the middle of a launch or promo. Either way, social proof is a great way to
help build trust in your brand and your product/service.

Here are some ideas for publishing testimonial graphics on Instagram Stories:

Create an Instagram Stories template in Canva or Photoshop and any time a new testimonial
comes in, pop it into your template and save it in a dedicated folder on your desktop.
Ask your customers to record a video testimonial and either tag you in it so you can re-share, or
send you the video clip so that you can post it.
Copy and paste testimonials left on your social media feed or website and then post them to
Instagram by using a product photo in the background and the pasted testimonial in the
foreground.

Keep in mind: It’s generally understood that a testimonial left on your website (i.e. when customers
leave a review) or a comment on your social media are public, however make sure you get
permission from your customers before publishing a testimonial they send you via email or in a
private DM.

Get more engagement tip: Ask your customers/clients to rate your product or service on Instagram
Stories by using the Slider Sticker.

STORIES
blog posts
Promote a Blog Post

There are many ways that you can promote your blog
posts by repurposing blog post graphics for social
media.

Take your blog post cover image and resize it for

Instagram, so you can post to both your feed &
Stories!

If you have less than 10K followers, include the link to

your blog post in your bio, and then let people know it’s
there by using #linkinbio or a link in bio sticker.

If you have more than 10K followers and have the

'swipe up' feature, make sure to link directly to the blog
post to make it easier for people to get to it!

Additional design tip: Create a few quote graphics or

informational graphics that you pull from your blog
and post them to Instagram Stories. This will give
readers a sneak peek of the post and entice them to
want to read more!

Do a Takeover or ask someone to
Takeover your Account

Hosting a takeover or asking someone to takeover

your account will give you exposure to a new
audience, so it’s a good way to grow your following if
that’s one of your objectives.

It’s also a good way to establish yourself as a leader

in your industry or to show that other industry leaders
support you.

The key here is to find someone who is a good fit for

your brand, who your audience would be interested in

hearing from, and who could share interesting and

valuable information for your audience.

If you’re the one doing the takeover, you want to keep

those same considerations in mind.

Post a This/That

This/That graphics are a fun way to show the

personality behind your brand and connect with
your audience on a different level.

They’re usually light and humorous, but can also be

informational.

Similar to This/That, you can post Fill in the Blanks,

tell a story with GIFs, or do a fun BINGO Story around
a specific theme.

Get more engagement tip: Use a poll sticker to

have your audience weigh in on their own This/That
scenario.

Share your Favorite Things

Doing a round up of your favorite things can be a fun

way to let your audience know more about you. Think
about some of the questions you get asked a lot in
your niche and then create a 'favorite things' list that’s

relevant and interesting for your audience.

For example, if you teach people how to work from

home, you could post about your favorite work from
home tools for online businesses.

If you’re a lifestyle blogger, you could post about your

favorite Spring outfits.

Get more engagement tip: Ask your audience to

weigh in on their favorite things either by answering a
question sticker, using a poll, or quiz.

Post a Tutorial

Film yourself doing a step-by-step tutorial for your

audience and then post it to Instagram Stories.

This will work best if you have a short tutorial that

can be posted to a few slides.

If you have a longer tutorial you can always either

post it to IGTV or your feed and then post a preview
in your Instagram Stories and tell them where to
find the full tutorial.

Get more engagement tip: Consider creating an

IGTV series for your tutorials. This will help your
audience stay engaged with your content over a
longer period of time!

can use your expertise to post a product or book

Just make sure it’s a genuine review and that you’ve

actually used the product or read the book! And if it's
a sponsored post or you're an affiliate for a product,
you should make that clear to your audience.

Get more engagement tip: Ask your followers to

STORIES
introduction
Introduce Yourself and Your Team

Stories are place to show the face (or faces) behind

the brand.

The structure of these intros is totally up to you. You

could make them more formal by having something

professionally filmed, or you could go off the cuff and
make them more informal by simply sharing fun facts
about you and your team.

The type of introductions you make will depend on

your brand voice and your overall objective, but we
encourage you not to overthink these too much -
showing up and being authentic is usually exactly
what people want to see!

Get more engagement tip: Ask your audience to

share a fun fact about themselves, or create a
challenge with a custom hashtag and ask people to
share an intro, fact, or something else related to your
challenge!

Showcase your Website

Proud of your website? You should be! Why not

take to Stories and walk your audience through your
favorite parts or the most important bits?

This is especially helpful if you have a paid

membership where the general public can’t see
what’s inside.

Giving your audience a sneak peek of the exclusive

content can really entice them to want to sign up!

Get more engagement tip: Create a video of your

site (don't worry it can be super simple scrolling

video) but video does get more engagement and

adds more interest than a static photo!
