Course Objectives:
The course is designed to study the principle of tortious liability, the defences available in an action for torts, the capacity of parties to sue and be sued and matters
connected therewith. Further, this course is designed to study specific torts against the individual and property. With rapid industrialization, inadequacy of law to protect
the individual is exposed. An attempt shall be accorded to the individuals against mass torts and industrial torts. Keeping in the expensive character of legal proceedings

Course Objectives:
The Insurance idea is an old Institution of transactional trade. The main objective of every insurance contract is to give financial security and protection to the insured
from any future uncertainty. Hence, insurance is considered as an inevitable component of economic development. Even from olden days merchants who made great
adventures gave money by way of consideration to other persons who made Assurance against loss of their goods merchandisers, ships and things adventured. The rate of
money consideration for mutually agreed upon. Such an agreement enabled other merchants more willingly and more freely to embark upon further trading adventures.
The operational framework of insurance idea is provided by the general principles of contract. The insurance policy being a contract is subject to all the judicial
interpretative techniques of rules of interpretation as propounded by the judiciary. This course is designed to acquaint the students with the conceptual and operational
parameters of insurance law in the light of various legislations regulating Insurance sector in India.

Labour Law I
Course Objectives:

The students are acquainted with the Industrial framework relating to wages, social security and welfare of labour. Referring to the
Constitutional provisions and the ILO Conventions and recommendations the labour welfare is generally envisaged shall be studied. Students
will be taught the provisions of Trade Unions Act, 1926, Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, Employ ees’ State Insurance Act, 1948, Payment of Wages
Act, 1936, Factories Act, 1948 . These legislations are to be studied to realize the importance of these legislation and to apply them in the day to
