SUMMARY

Today, youth violent has emerge one of the critical problem that parents face today.
According to Witmer (2017, p.1), “violence is defines as an extreme form of aggression”.
Violent behaviors can result in a large number of crimes that can have an affect on their
future lives. There are several causes of youth violence. The first cause is media influence
can led them to act aggressively. Furthermore, the second cause as mentioned by CDC is
neighborhood which include no economic oppotunities, high crime rate and socially
disorganized surroundings (as cited in Witmer, 2017). The third cause is children living with
domestic violent may become aggressive behaviour. The forth cause is lack of parental
supervision may led to crimical activity. Moreover, Peer pressure cause youth violence when
the teen's friends are inclined to aggressive behaviors. In addition, drug abuse and addiction
can make them to become more aggressive. Another cause is youth who are dealing with
trumatic events will become more aggression. Lastly, mental illness is also a cause of
among youth violent. However, youth violence can be treated in many ways. First, youth can
seek therapy to solve their problems which can led to violent. Second, teen should be
removed from the threatening situation which can led to aggression. Third, Witmer (2017)
suggested that rehabilitation facility can help treats youth violence. In adddtion, teen social
program or support groups can help solve teen problems. Besides, they should get involving
sport or other school activities which can help them prevent violent. In a nutshell, youth
violence has many causes but it can be treated in many ways.
