Can CCTV cameras play an important role in preventing theft, robbery, criminals, and fights
in public place of any kind? Yes it is, a CCTV camera is a device that can capture all types of
evidence footage and not only that it helps to prevent many types of damages.CCTV cameras
are leading the way with electronic devices that reduce our damage but improve us more not
only this it helps to reduce the rate of accidents in our country day by day. We can increase
the use of CCTV in daily life to avoid precautions and we can tell everyone the importance of
CCTV in daily life safety. So we benefit in many ways by installing CCTV cameras such as
many types of crime prevention which occurs in public place can be done by installing
cameras in the society, 24 hours safety in the not only public area but also private area can be
ensured by surveillance cameras ,it also helps to prevent fraud employee and thefts .
First of all, there are some things that happen in public places that we can’t see with our eyes
but CCTV/ surveillance cameras help us to capture what happened. Installing cameras in
public places increases people’s alertness so that they aren’t intimated before committing any
crime (Porter, 2018). For example, surveillance cameras in public place leads to criminal face
recognition, which allows criminals to be identified with eyewitness and evidence (Vigne,
2013). So, this is can create a security among with the people through the security code and
also criminal identification. There are many people who stay at home for fear of criminals
now they are going to outside.
In addition, not only public areas but also private areas are getting more 24hours security
through use of surveillance cameras. CCTV also monitoring many private places such as
lockers, 24 hours a day so that our privacy properly maintained. According to porter,” Porter
believes the Home Office and industry must ensure that only technologies compliant with
relevant standards should be installed in public and private space” (Global, 2020).
Therefore, we can say that a surveillance camera plays an important role in our security
activities.
However, some people argue that too many cameras violate our right to privacy which is
basically some employee aren’t feel safety about that (Macnish). They are arguing that it is
violate their right of privacy. For example, many employee things that their company doesn’t
trust them which is harmful for their company. but with CCTV footage all the news of the
moment is recorded which help us to find the fraud, theft also. No matter what anyone says
the use of CCTV cameras needs to be further enhanced to maintain privacy (DeRouanna,
2019).
CCTV/ surveillance cameras not only help our society from various kinds of damage but also
help us to collect footage in private, public area and protect it from thieves and robbers. Any
others pros and cons ,but if we assess logically , pros outrun cons. Thus it is raising cautions
in the people of the society and maintains the safety of the people .Our government should
come forward to install CCTV in places so that we can prevent crime, harassment, political
crime also. So if we are careful about using CCTV then we can prevent any kind of crime.
