Why working from home is important?

Technology going towards a path where employees can work from anywhere anytime.
However, working from home getting popular among employees, it is more comfortable, and
the work quickly is done through email and other dedicated online workplaces. Moreover, it
is cost-efficient from working in an office. Then why employers are preferring working at the
office. To have an environment where employees can have "face-to-face" collaboration and
interaction and a clear line of communication. The essay will reflect light on the fact is it
efficient and productive (Richard, 2017).

A digital company like Yahoo and computer manufacturing company International Business
Machine (IBM) was started and then banned working from home. The reason the new CEOs
of the company took the hard decision to maintain a productive and efficient working
environment (Mize, 2018).

According to research on a similar situation conducted by Professor Richard Arvey, his study
has found that there are many disadvantages to working or attending meetings remotely, and
the psychological advantages in an office environment and face-to-face meeting are
significant. He also finds that it is easier to get distracted in a virtual meeting; they could be
easily distracted by the other task like checking email and other irrelevant tasks (Arvey,
2009).

In-office employees have a better understanding of the task when it is a group task. The
collaboration and continuous discussions in the office brings a more significant outcome from
the task. Moreover, the communication skills that developed an in-office working
environment has a significant impact, and it helps both employees and employers to create a
formal environment in front of each other (Boudinet, 2020).

Furthermore, there are scopes and opportunities for became more experienced in the field and
expanding knowledge and sharing idea is more comfortable than home. Also, resolving
problems took much less time (Go et al., 2020).
Working from home is sometimes better for the employees, but when it comes to bringing a
productive working environment, there are lots of stuff to be considered. Like, the reliability
of work, if any improvements or something needs to add in work, there is a latency among
solving that issue. Moreover, the security concerns of the companies proprietary information
could result in the danger of communicating outside the office (Reddy, 2020).

Lastly, there are advantages of working from home for everyone, and companies can save a
considerable amount of rental fee as well as the employees can have a comfortable working
environment. To have a productive, efficient and effective working environment as well as an
excellent working outcome, working form office gives a huge advantage.
