ORAL EXAM

-Hi, Rebeca. I didn't see you since last year.

-Hi, Mitzy. Yes, How long?. How are you?

-I´m fine. Thank you. And  you?

-I am not fine, I lost my job 3 months ago and it has been very difficult for me to find another job as
good as the last

-Yes, the national situation has been difficult as you said, they were a lot of layoffs at work last
month.

- You know what? I am thinking about to move my place where I can find a new job, even if it's outside
the country.

-Yes! Unemployment is a big issue in our country. We actually have to compete all the time
with others too keep our jobs.

-Yes. What do you think mexicans could do to solve this problem?

-I think that one of the most important thing is to be prepared with the highest degrees. Even if
you are an actress or mechanic or baker, whatever that you want to do.

-I´m totally agree. Do you think that knowledge is the most important for a job?

-Sometimes. It depends of the job that you applied for, but some companies take it into
account.

-And what do you think about the experience that the company's required?

- Oh! That's a big problem because sometimes you got the knowledge but you don't have
experience, so companies can't hire you.

-Yes, It's very unfair. Companies should be more supportive with new people and give them more
opportunities.

-You are right! My parents told me once that they used to keep the same job all their lives and
that gave them a lot of benefits. 

- I know! but nowadays that is almost impossible and with the pandemic issue many people have lost
their jobs.

-Yes, many companies closed for that reason.

-Another problem is that if you are woman you are less likely to be hired because of your marital
status or if you have babies or even if you are pregnant.

-I´m  agree. That's horrible and that situation has to change. It's really important give them
equality conditions to apply for a new job.

-I know, that´s very difficult. WelI, I got to go.

- Take care, anyway I hope you can find a good job, be positive. And if you don´t, you should
apply at my work.

- Really?

-Yes, that would be amazing, is not as good as your last job but It can help.
