ARCHITECTURAL
DESIGN AND HISTORY
ELIGIBILITY
A Bachelor degree in Architecture and a portfolio are
mandatory.
HIGHLIGHTS
The rich and well-preserved architectural heritage of
the city of Mantova, the presence of the UNESCO site
and the dedicated facilities of the Mantova Campus are
the ideal conditions to host this programme.
In addition, the curriculum is launched in cooperation
with the Mantova Campus Unesco Chair in
“Architectural Preservation and Planning in World
Heritage Cities”. Eduardo Souto de Moura, who won
the Pritzker Prize in 2011, is teaching as Full Professor
of Architectural Design in Historical Context at
Mantova Campus. The programme is taught in English.

1st year:
Architectural Design Studio,
History and Architectural Heritage,
Mechanics and Design of Structures,
Architectural Design in Historical Context Studio,
Sustainability and the Built Environment.
2nd year:
Planning in Historical Context Studio,
History of Contemporary Architecture,
Heritage Management,
Final Workshop focused on “Ancient and New”.
FEES
EU students: from about €900 to €3,900 per year.
Non-EU students: about €3,900 per year.
