The standard I choose is 3 (k), which is to know how to collaborate with learners to

establish and monitor elements of a safe and productive learning environment, including norms,

expectations, routines, and organizational structures. The artifact I choose to represent this was a

social contract for the classroom. I feel this artifact fits this standard because it was a way for

students to voice their input for the classroom to make it a good learning environment for

everyone. As well the routines and structure for how the class would be addressed and agreed to

by everyone signing the document at the beginning of the semester.

This social contract was in the form of a google created at the beginning of the semester,

where students could contribute their thoughts anonymously for the classroom's social contract.

The social contract was an agreement between the students and the teacher on how everyone is to

be treated in the classroom and what they expect from each other. Once all the information was

collected, my CT created a word cloud using a word art site. This site allowed my CT to put the

words the students chose into the form of a picture; the picture was blown up and then signed by

everyone in the class. After that, they have all different laminated images for every hour; and

then hung on the wall as a reminder to be referenced to the entire semester.
