Glacier National Park shares tips for waterfront activities

WEST GLACIER, Mont. (DEC. 7, 2020) – Glacier National Park has a variety of water
activities to enjoy while visiting the park. From mid-May to late October, guided boat, kayak and
rafting tours are available. In addition to the tours, there are areas where visitors can launch their
own boat and kayak into the water. Fishing is also permitted from mid-May to Nov. 30.

Boat tours of some of the park’s largest lakes are offered at Many Glacier, Two Medicine, Rising
Sun and Lake McDonald. These boat tours include commentary by park rangers about the
surrounding area, the history behind the lake and the species of fish found in that lake. Guided
hikes are available on some cruises at Many Glacier, Two Medicine and Rising Sun. Small boat
rentals are also available at Apgar, Lake McDonald, Two Medicine and Many Glacier. For more
information on Glacier’s boat trips and rental boats visit
