Next month, I will be earning my B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of South
Florida (USF). As a student on the policy track, my courses revolved around public administration,
political geography, politics and government, and non-profit and public service. It is a career goal of
mine to work with an organization such as the Environmental Defense Fund, that works to address some
of our most pressing issues. As a passionate environmental advocate, the opportunity to assist a team in
advancing environmental legislative action would have a lasting impact on my career. The protection of
our environment is an issue I take most ardently, and I can assure that if chosen for this position I would
bring the dedication and commitment needed to fill the duties of the role.
While I remained academically driven throughout my undergraduate studies, I also was active with
several student organizations. While serving as the President of the Outdoor Club, I learned how to be a
transformational and empathetic leader and team player. As the secretary of the Society of Women
Engineers, I was responsible for producing bi-weekly newsletters, drafting press materials, and
communicating across different media.
I am dedicated to combining meticulous research with creative problem solving to provide successful
outcomes. In my experience interning with Florida Public Interest Research Group (PIRG) and the Justice
Collaborative, I have been exposed to solid writing and research training, client relations, record
management, scheduling, and multi-tasking. Besides meeting the responsibilities as a New Voter’s
Project Intern with Florida PIRG, I took initiative in leading a vote-by-mail phone banking event in
Florida. In a matter of three days, I led nearly 30 volunteers in logging over 70 hours of phone banking.
I would be honored to contribute my skills and motivation toward your team efforts. As an engaging
communicator with a proven track record in project management, my focus and dedication has been a
beneficial asset throughout my undergraduate career.
Please review my attached resume for additional details regarding my experience and achievements.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Natalie Galeano
