DEVLIVERY OF A 12-WEEKS SKILLS TRAINING COURSE Nature of the consultancy Position: National Expert for Welding Objective of the consultancy: To support the development of Local Vocational Training courses for Welder To establish and deliver a LVT Welder course in Southeast Myanmar. Tasks to be performed under this contract: LVT course development: Under the direct supervision of the Manager Local Vocational Training in Yangon, the consultant will be responsible to: Provide technical inputs to support the development, establishment and delivery of Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMAW) and Tungsten inert Gas Welding (TIGW) courses. Contribute to the team-based development of competency-based LVT Welding courses Provide active inputs to identify core skills for welding related to the local skills demand Provide technical knowhow and develop active training package material under the guidance of the LVT Management team in Yangon. Prepare and setup the training venues for welding in Mon and Kayin state Support and prepare inputs to equipment procurement and other course development related tasks. Participate in online and face-to-faces workshops and provide/develop independently inputs to agreed work task. LVT course establishment and delivery: Under the direct supervision of the Local Coordinator at the training venue, the consultant will be responsible to: Prepare and deliver a course for Welder to the LVT Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) e.g.: Prepare for the LVT by reviewing the learning material and arranging the training venue. Deliver a 12-weeks x 5 days LVT training to disadvantaged people. Prepare for individual training sessions and deliver the course inline with the learning objectives and competencies. Support the weekly life skills training in coordination with the responsible instructor. Monitor and provide feedback on the training content and materials. ‘Manage, maintain and keep logbooks of the training equipment, materials and consumables. Support the learners in finding employment opportunities. Jointly with the LVT Local Coordinator or Training Supervisor and other LVT Instructors Participate and support in planning and feedback session as named in the SOP. ‘Travel to other Townships when required. Perform other tasks as required.
