Covid-19 also known as the coronavirus has impacted the way we live in the US and
other people in different countries. It was declared a pandemic when the outbreak of the virus
travelled the whole world. It was originated from China and it has infected many throughout
many countries. Coronavirus affects humans by attacking the lungs and making it difficult for
those with weak immune systems. With uprisings of cases each and every day, public schools are
being opened back up therefore making students and teachers get infected. Many believe we
should go back to in person learning while many others want online classes to prevent the spread
of covid-19.
Public schools and colleges are now being opened back up for the 2020-2021 school year
with roaring cases in many states. As many think the virus isn't going to infect them till, they
realize how bad it can affect them and their loved ones. Opening colleges and schools isn't a very
safe idea for those who have weak immune systems because the student can bring it back home
infecting their whole family. With that, many families lose the opportunity to go to work and
lose income to provide for food and bills. Many lose their house, apartment, or whenever they
might live in because they weren't able to pay for rent. Schools and colleges should worry more
about their student's health rather than opening back up. Most schools and colleges offer online
learning. Online learning is where the student can learn virtually on a computer or any mobile

device. This can slow the spread of the coronavirus and help students get their education
virtually.
However, online learning isn't beneficial to every student because not every student has
access to materials to learn virtually. Many students need Wi-Fi, a compatible device, meals
from the school, or even need someone to help them. Technical difficulties are one of the most
frustrating things a student can experience. Public schools offer for learning in person but with
many safety precautions to ensure everyone is safe and healthy. Safety precautions include
wearing a mask, socially distancing from others, and disinfecting every item after every school
day. With public schools opening, students can continue their education, have a meal from the
school, and even let parents work so they can have a source of income to be safe during this
difficult time.
