Position Paper (7-eleven)

7 eleven is a convenience store or convenience shop and it's a small retail business that
stocks a range of everyday items such as groceries, snack foods, soft drinks, tobacco products,
over-the-counter drugs, toiletries, newspapers, and magazines. In some jurisdictions, convenience
stores are licensed to sell alcohol, typically beer and wine. Such stores may also offer money order
and wire transfer services, along with the use of a fax machine and/or photocopier for a small per-
copy cost. It is located alongside a busy road, in an urban area, near a railway or railroad station.
In some countries, convenience stores have long shopping hours, and some remain open 24 hours.

Convenience stores have a big difference to other stores especially to their competitors like
grocery stores, grocery stores also offer non-perishable foods that are packaged in bottles, boxes,
and cans; some also have things that can be used for bakeries, things use for cooking, pharmacist’s
product and process foods. But it's not the only competitor of 7 eleven for me the most direct
competitor of it is the Sari-sari store. Sari-sari store is a much small retail store were in scattered
all along the side of the road even in the path that is alley with that many people buy more in the
said Sari-sari store.

But 7-eleven as time goes by is now one of the big franchise business, because of that we
can assure that our business has more advantage than others. Franchisee can start their own
business with the support of the established brand and it's also bringing jobs and economic growth
to their communities. These franchise owners can earn a big revenue if it's successful and can have
bigger franchising power that can support their families as well as give back to the community
where we belong in. Therefore, we can say that franchise business can make a significant impact
on the national economy.
