Moby Dick novel.

The sailor Ishmael tells the story of Captain Ahab and the white whale, Moby
Dick. Ahab, the captain of the whaling boat the Pequod, searches for Moby Dick
across the oceans of the world in a single-minded pursuit to find the whale and
kill her.

Ishmael joins the crew of the Pequod, a whaling ship helmed by Captain Ahab.
There, he befriends a fellow shipmate, the harpooner Queequeg. Inside the ship
he meets the other whalers and their special classification that are the carpenter
and the harpooner.

Captain Ahab reveals that the white whale, Moby Dick, once bit off his leg. As the
Pequod traverses the whaling grounds, Ahab continuously seeks information
from other boats as to the white whale's location. Every time he asks, they give
him a safer location, feeling that he will soon find it. Therefore, he abandoned the
hunting of many whales, when another ship was told that Moby Dick was close.

In a deadly confrontation with Moby Dick, the entire crew of the Pequod is killed,
except for Ishmael, who lives to tell the story. And that is how the profession that
Elias did to them before Ishmael and Queequeg will board the ship became
reality as he said. They will smell earth where there will be no earth and that day
Ahab will be unraveled to his grave, but he will rise from the dead, all will die and
only one will survive.
