Family Letter

Dear Parents,

My name is Carsyn Guitrau. I am the student intern in your

child’s classroom for this Fall 2020 semester. I am a junior at

Louisiana State University, majoring in Early Childhood Education.

Throughout this semester, I will be teaching a series of lessons

throughout different domains. These lessons will all center around

the topic of rainbows. I encourage you to engage in conversations

about rainbows with your child so that my lessons will continue

into your home. Today for my lesson, I played the song “Colors of

the Rainbow” by Jack Hartman. Following the song each child had

the opportunity to create their own rainbow. If you would like to

do something similar at your home, you could play this song or

engage in art using crayons, paint, play doe, etc. to make

rainbows. I am looking forward to teaching more lessons to your

children throughout this semester. Please share what you make at

home!
