HTTP Protocols

1. When you enter a URL into your browser you are actually sending an HTTP request to a
particular web server.

2. The request goes through your home network and router.

3. The home modem will send the request to your internet service provider (ISP).

4. The request is then passed along through the internet, passing through multiple routers,
networks and subnetworks and can take whichever route is most efficient at the time.

5. The request is routed to it’s destination internet service provider.

6. From there the request moves through the destination’s router.

7. Then to the web-server where the requested website information is then fetched and
transmitted back through the network.

8. From the web-server , to the router, to the internet service provider, through the networks
and subnetworks of the internet, to the end users internet service provider to the home
router and network and then back to the end user’s computer where the webpage will ap-
pear on the screen.
