TOURISM

Tourism is a massive industry everywhere in the world that comprises the activities of persons
traveling and staying in places outside their usual envioronment for not more than one consecutive
year, for recreation, business and other purposes. There are some remarkable advantages to this in
each country but there are also some downsides to tourism as well.

One major advantage of tourism is the wealth generation. It is a well known fact that this industry
can easily generate a massive amount of money. This positive factor becomes even more important
for the pore, third world countries and is extremely beneficial for countries that use tourism as their
primary source of income.

Furthermore, tourism is a unique industry that boosts the unity between people of different
colours, ethnicity and traditions. It allows people to learn more about other cultures and helps to
build links between different people from around the world. This generates understanding among
various types of people and can help to encourage lasting economic, political and social
relationships.

On the other hand, tourism can lead to immense environmental damage, especially in destinations
that are extremely popular. This can happen because tourists themself cause the damage but also it
happens because of the higher number of plaines flying and cars driving.

However, another big disadvantage is that the jobs provided are seasonal and therefore not
consistent. People lose their job often or they work only for a few months a year. This can lead to
many locals stuck in a job that offers no room for growth.

To sum up, with tourism come a lot of undeniable advantages, but we also need to face the
negative effects and find solutions, so that tourism can be enjoyed whitout causing harm.
