ASSIGNMENT NO 01
Title: Elaboration of Suzuki Mehran Firing order with some specs.

Suzuki Mehran:
Suzuki Mehran is powered by a 3 cylinders OHC 6 Valves Engine with an engine displacement
of 796 cc. The OHC 6 Valves can boast the engine upto 39 hp @ 5500 RPM horsepower with
59 Nm @ 3000 RPM torque. Its a Petrol car. Fuel tank capacity is 32 litres and it averages
approx 13 Km/L in city and 18 Km/L on highways.

3 Cylinder Engine:
In these engines, the outer pistons rise and fall together like a 360° straight-two engine. The
inner cylinder is offset 180° from the outer cylinders. In these engines, cylinder number one
fires, then 180° later cylinder number two fires, and then 180°
later cylinder number three fires.

Advantages of 3 cylinder engines:

 Fuel Efficiency. The basic advantage of a three-cylinder engine over a four-
cylinder is that it is inherently more fuel efficient (as there's one cylinder less of volume of fuel
to burn). ...
 Lower frictional losses. ...
 Lighter weight. ...
 Compact size. ...
 Cost saving. ...
 Not refined. ...
 Needs more revving.

Firing order of 3 cylinder engines:

Four stroke straight-three engine with firing order 1-3-2.
