lives and those of others.

• Enhances students’ personal and social capability by providing opportunities for them to engage with
understandings such as historical empathy, contestability, perspectives, cause and effect, and continuity and
change.

F-6/7 Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS):


• Inquiry-based learning assists students to develop their capacity for self-management
• It gives them a role in directing their own learning and in planning and carrying out investigations, providing
them with opportunities to express and reflect on their questions, opinions, beliefs and values appropriately.
