My hometown is called Ibarra.

I was born and raised there and I can say that it is definitely my
favorite place. It is located in Ecuador in the Sierra. I cannot say that it is a very large province.
The city is traditional and modern. I call it traditional because there are still many festivals
celebrated by indigenous people, but modern, since it is beginning to develop like other
provinces that have a much more sophisticated infrastructure.

Ibarra is a city that is about 2 hours by car from the capital of Quito. The main roads are the
Pan American North, so they are wide and huge. The road becomes an important place,
because it is a key step for buses and cars that cross it on their way.

Ibarra is also special as it offers many tourist attractions. For example, Laguna de Yahuarcocha,
Loma de Guayabillas that has a very beautiful view of the city.
