Greater Latrobe School District
Latrobe, PA
Dear Mr. Porembka,
11am writing this letter at the request of Paul Markle, who is applying for the open Junior
High School Learning Support Position. Paul has worked with me in elementary Autistic Support
for about 1.5 years as my classroom assistant.
Paul has a number of strengths that I'd like to mention. His abilty to be patient with
students is unmatched, He is very willing to see a behavior through to the end to ensure that the
‘student understands what he or she has done wrong. On the other hand, he is also patient
when teaching. He never rushes through lessons so as to ensure the student understands
before moving on. As a member of the autistic support team, he always contributes ideas and
shares new ways to make the learning of our students more enjoyable. He is a great team
member to have. Paul is always willing to be flexible, as each day in my classroom is a brand
new set of obstacles and hoops to jump through. Our schedule changes frequently and he is
always willing to adapt as he goes. Finally, Paul is always willing to better himself. Whether it is
by asking questions, taking on more responsibilities, or completing training on his own time, it is
obvious that he will stop at nothing to make himself the best that he can be. It's clear that Paul
thoroughly enjoys his job and it shines through in his work ethic and in his ability to connect with
the students. | know that the students truly care for him.
In conclusion, | would highly recommend Paul. If his performance in my classroom is any
indication of how he'd perform in the available position, Paul will be a very positive addition to
the Junior High. if you need any additional information, feel free to contact me at 724-961-2148
of by email at julie. moluckie@alsd.us anytime.
Sincerely,
