As we know, Malaysia is one of the countries involved in premarital sexual activities in the world. In
fact, this activity is widespread and growing every year. Therefore, Li Ping Wong and Azrina Ab
Rahman has been conducting research and came out with research articles on the reasons for such
embarrassing activities can occur in Malaysia.

Through research conducted, the reasons identified as the cause of this activity are, the first is the
lack of information and info about sexual reproductive health education. As we know, in 1989, the
government has made reforms on the primary schools curriculum system, and in 1994 the
government also reformed the curriculum system in secondary schools. However, students still find
it still lack of information about sexual reproductive health. This may be because teachers are not
taught to teach pupils about sexual reproductive health education, or maybe the teacher has a
shame to talk about it. In addition to teachers, parents and adults also become the cause of the
wrong thinking about sex education where parents often think by teaching their children about sex
education will encourage the children to do the act. In addition, parental strictness is also the cause
of sexual activity.

In addition, liberal attitude towards premarital activity is also the second cause of these activities,
where liberal attitude will encourage the younger generation to try to approach pornographic
material thus promoting the sex to happen.

Third is the lack of skill in negotiating in sexual relationship. This is often the case with those who are
obsessed with love, with the exception of not using contraception, the fourth cause will worsen the
situation where it can lead to outrageous and abortion. Men are also seen to have the power to
determine reproductive issues and use of contraception while women are more motivated to follow
men's decisions to prove they are loyal and want to hear the word.

Finally the fifth cause is the widening of gap between menarche and marriage life in which young
people are so easy to take on this issue.

Based on the above reasons, it is clear that sex and reproductive education are very important in
combating the increasingly widespread social phenomena in our country.
