Email conversation

Instructor Litle: Hi Evan, after today’s class, do you have a better idea of what you are writing

for paper #1?

Me: Yes ma'am, It was clear, but I missed some of the meeting because of my laptop speaker

wasn't working. Is the question for analyzing image for paper 1 or is it two different assignment?

What I did is I chose cartoon image for analyzing an image assignment and chose an

advertisement for paper 1 assignment.

Instructor Litle: It is the same image you are going to write about for Paper #1. You can talk

about the same points from that smaller assignment in the larger paper, so use it to help you

prepare.

Me: That mean I am doing both assignments using the same image/advertisement?

Instructor Litle: Yes, but for this week’s assignment, you just provide brief answers. For the

paper, you select what you want to talk about from that assignment and make it into fully

developed paragraphs that relate to a thesis.

Me: Thank you and I will do that. Thank you for your response and Have a lovely day
Me: Thank you for the clarifications. The MLA I used is by citing the page from MLA citing

format. Is it done how it was supposed to in my previous assignments?

Instructor Litle: MLA formatting and MLA citation are two different things. Your papers need

to be MLA formatted like you designed them in the previous assignments. MLA citation is

when you provide the bibliographic info for your source. We haven't really covered that yet, so

I'm going to be more lenient on the citation part. Usually, you put this at the end of the paper.

Author last name, first name. "Title of Work," Publication, date, medium.

Me: Thank you and I will do that. Thank you for your response and Have a lovely day
