Based on the previous reading, write the required information on the chart below.

Topic: Cloud Computing

Many people gather a large amount of information on their

computers. At first, individuals had to store this information on
their hard drive. Sometimes hard drives can break and lose
information. Also, hard drives do not easily share their information.

Individual users usually use cloud computing to store information.

clouds are another choice.

2. Writing a summary
Now, use the information related to the main idea you already identified and the supporting details
you extracted from the passage, to write a summary of the text Cloud Computing. Use the following
template to guide your writing process. Remember that supporting details can be used to make key
points in your summary.

Summary Information

Briefly state the main idea or thesis presented in this article:

The main idea of this article is about the advantages of managing files in the cloud and how a person
can access data management resources remotely. To show people how important it is to use cloud
computing, because with this tool they can share the information between computers and programs.

Summarize the most important information, ideas, facts, etc. presented in this article:

1. Cloud computing is a technology that allows remote access to software, file storage and data
processing though the internet, being an alternative to running on a personal computer or local server.
2. Cloud computing offers individuals and businesses the capacity of computing resources with good
maintenance, security, easy access and on demand, such a servers, data storage and application
solutions.
3. Multilocation is what differentiates cloud computing from simple outsourcing and from older
application service provider models. Now, small businesses have the ability to master the power of
advanced technology in a scalable way.
4. The change offered by computing from the cloud is that it allows increasing the number of services
based on the network. This generates benefits both for suppliers, who can offer, more quickly and
efficiently, a greater number of services.

Summary

Write the final version of your summary here.

Cloud computing has become a trend in recent years for managing files and data on the network, it
allows saving data on virtual hard drives that have the advantage over a physical hard drive that can
be consulted on any device; it isn’t susceptible to physical damage or physical loss of the device and
it has lower costs, but likewise, it has its cons, which are basically based on the fact that the security
of the files will depend on where the user consults them and the security with the device count. Cloud
computing are servers from the Internet responsible for attending to requests at any time. You can
access your information or service, through an internet connection from any mobile device or landline
located anywhere. They serve their users from several hosting providers frequently distributed around
the world. This measure reduces costs, ensures a better uptime and that websites are invulnerable
to computer criminals, local governments and their police raids.

Cloud computing is presented as a remote data and file management tool, that is, the user will save
and manage their data through a virtual space that will function as a managed memory unit on the
network, which will allow you to have files permanently available on any computer, upload and send
files more easily, does not require additional hardware and sometimes not even software. This will
allow the user to stop depending on physical implements for the management of their files, allowing
them to handle large volumes of information without sacrificing physical resources of their equipment,
as is the case with space on the hard disk, since all this management is done remotely, allowing
users with equipment with low hardware characteristics to manage large volumes of information
without affecting the efficiency of their PC. Another advantage is that the vast majority of email
services already have virtual spaces for their users to manage their files, which generates great
advantages when sending and sharing information, since having the information in a virtual device
such as cloud all the necessary information is available at any time anywhere, which makes handling
it much faster and user-friendly. Cloud computing manages to provide these advantages, relying on
a dynamic technological infrastructure that is characterized, among other factors, by a high degree
of automation, a rapid mobilization of resources, a high capacity to adapt to meet a variable demand,
as well as advanced virtualization and a flexible price depending on the consumption made, avoiding
also the fraudulent use of software and piracy.

It’s a new model for the provision of business and technology services, which allows the user to
access a catalog of standardized services and respond with them to the needs of their business, in a
flexible and adaptive manner, in case of unforeseeable demands or peaks of work, paying only for
the consumption made, or even free of charge in the case of suppliers that are financed through
advertising or non-profit organizations.
