Kelly Paoletti is a Northern California native and currently a senior at the University of Texas at

San Antonio. They had the honor of being accepted into the 36th Annual Juried Student
Exhibition at UTSA’s Main Gallery. They hope to further their artistic journey by obtaining a
Master’s in Fine Art at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. A future goal of
Kelly’s is to create a collaborative gallery with an open studio experience where all visitors can
learn about art and the process behind works. As an artist they prefer to have an intermedia
approach to creating works, usually combining an analog medium such as painting with a digital
medium like animation. Their ethics and philosophies influence their approach to making art.
Being conceptually driven, they work to analyze the realms of the physical and the fantasy.
Motifs you might find in their work relate to the idea of spirits, the culture of anime, and a blend
of the natural and urban worlds.
