Assignment No. 3: Introduction to Research Methodology

Research methodology is way or process to describe particular topic or to solve the

problem related to topic. Research methodology is a steps involved or used by the researcher for
better understanding of the research project. It is about specific techniques or the procedure used
to identify, analyze information regarding the topic. The research methodology section allows
reader to evaluate all the information about the research. Research methods helps us to get
solution for problem related to our topic.

First of all, researcher need to decide how he or she is going to collect data. Method
depends on what type of date you collect. Which will help to understand research problem and
try to solve it. Researcher need to understand that methodology varies on problem to problem.
Research methodology has many dimensions. Research is a effort to get new knowledge
regarding any topic. Research Methodologies also focuses on limitations and consequences of
the research. Research Methodology is a strategy that shows the way in which research project is
to be undertaken and also identifies the methods which has to be used in.

Research methodology gives brief knowledge about collecting information, arranging

information. The choice of research methods will depend on what type of question you are
asking in your research. Research methodology always depends on what type of data researcher
is collecting or what type of research is he or she is doing. Is it Qualitative or Quantitative?
Research methodology explains about the methods by which you can proceed with your
research. Research methodology involves conduct of experiments, test and surveys. It also
involves learning of techniques which can be used in conduct of research. It is also called as
science of how research should be carried out.
