Christian Though Style - There’s a rationality in christian thinking. Christ is the

Logos. A certain sense of mystery of the christian style.

Christian Mind: Tenacity, Creativity, Corrigibility, Humility

Creativity of Christian knowing and christian thought style

The story of Salomon and two prostitutes brought to him both claiming the
baby. And he’s taken the sword and say “cut the baby in half” and by the
reactions of the two mothers he knew which was the genuine baby.

Wisdom = discernment and dominion over our dilemma.

Creative thinking is just one small part of what in the scriptures is a God given
gift but relates to wisdom and gives people both discernment and dominion in
areas where one is puzzled and blocked. We’re living in a world where either in
secular circles or in christian circles, there’s a tremendous sense of stagnation
and tiredness and blockiness and frustration. Why? Because so much of our
thinking is old and tired and stale.
We need fresh thinking, creative ways, new answers in this tired situation.
The part of the discovery of relying on God for his wisdom and seeing what he
means in the scriptures will include something about discovery of a creativity in
our christian ways of knowing and thinking and exploring and so on.

Some christians never speak about creation and creativity except as an

explanation of our origins. For other people, creativity is reserved for God. The
creativity is part of the god-givenness of our human nature, not that we created
out of nothing like God. Some people use it theologically.

They limited creativity only to certain people. Gifted people, Arts and Culture
(with capitals). Romantic 19th century notion of the lonely genius who paints
out of his in a whole.

Why wise creativity has been lost?

Ingmar Bergman: We lost creativity when we lost worship.

The creative has almost be lost. The critical has been developed to a
tremendous degree. The creative has almost been lost. And this is part of the
distortion of scientific philosophical views of knowing today which are majored
on the objectivity at the expense of the subjective. The evidential at the
expense of the presuppositional. But one of the crucial things is they have
drawn out the creative elements in our knowing and discovering at the expense
of the critical. So most knowledge today is much closer to developing ideas
than to discovering new ideas. To organizing knowledge rather that observing
new insights. And you can see how the creative is lost, generally speaking, and
the critical is valued.

Aristotle - The whole logic style of the west has emphasized the critical at the
expense of the creative.

Fact is a fact is a fact.
