SCRIPT FOR SEMINAR

Eliza: Good afternoon Mathematics teachers. I am Ms. Eliza Ann E. Manuel,...

Sol: ...and I am Ms. Marisol B. Ferrer,...

Both: your masters of ceremony for today's webinar.

Eliza: We are indeed grateful that you are here today to participate in our webinar with the theme...

Both: I.Y.A.K. METHOD: IBALIK YUNG ATING KASIYAHAN METHOD

Sol: We all know that Mathematics is known as the waterloo of most of the students.

Eliza: As a Mathematics teacher, the very tough question is, gugustuhin mo ba na isa ka sa mga magpapaiyak sa mga students
mo in the future?

Sol: Are we going to agree that Math teachers will only make students cry? Ofcourse not! We are not their jowa na papaiyakin
lamang sila. So, Instead of making them cry, why don't we help them have some fun while learning Mathematics?

Eliza: With that idea, our group has planned this seminar not just for you but also for your students to enjoy the teaching-
learning process.

Sol: This seminar was organized to give you techniques on how to teach Mathematics in a very creative way with our newly
discovered innovations.

Eliza: These innovations that we are talking about are in form of a song and interesting games. With that, we have invited
highly respected teachers who would present to you the said innovations.

Sol: Before I introduce our first speaker, we would like to encourage everyone to have an active participation throughout the
session. Right now, we hope that everyone’s camera and microphone is off to avoid background noises that may distract us
from listening. You are free to ask questions/clarifications but they will only be entertained once the presentation is done. Thank
you!

First Speaker: Ma’am Heidi Gail Basco

 She graduated at Tarlac State University with a degree Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics in the
year 2019.

 She is a Licensed Professional Teacher since 2019.

 She was a Private school teacher last school year 2019-2020 at Multiple Intelligence Development Assessment and
Simulation (MIDAS) Institute

Heidi: (talk)

Eliza: Thank you so much Ma’am Basco for the very interesting method in motivating students in introducing a lesson. (adlib)
It is my honor to introduce our second speaker who will give us more lecture about Mathematics Songs. Our speaker is
graduated at Tarlac State University in the year 2018 with the degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in
Mathematics. She is a Licensed Professional Teacher since 2018. She’s been a private school teacher for 2 years and currently
teaching at Philippine Women’s University. A well-loved teacher by her students and colleagues, always known for being high
spirited! Without further ado, our speaker is none other than Ma’am Dianne A. Gonzales. Let us all give our speaker a virtual
clap!

Dianne: (talk)

Sol: Thank you so much Ma’am Gonzales for showing us more examples and new ways to teach Mathematics to our students.
Third Speaker: Sir Ezra Gil S. Lagman

 He is a graduate of BS Electronics and Communications Engineering at Tarlac State University last 2009.

 In the same University, he took 18 units of Professional Education in the year 2018 .

 He became the Top 9 in the Licensure Examination for Teachers last September 2018.

 He is currently teaching at Tarlac State University (College of Education).

Ezra: (talk)

Eliza: Thank you Sir Lagman for presenting us a very stimulating game which would be a great help in learning Mathematics
while having some fun. For the last speaker, I am very excited and it’s a pleasure to introduce him. He graduated at Tarlac State
University in the year 2018 as cumlaude with the degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics. He is a
Licensed Professional Teacher since 2018. Not only that, he is also a private school teacher at Academia de Santiago of Tarlac,
Inc. from 2018 to 2020. If you think that is all, you are mistaken. Our speaker is also an advocate of positive use of ICT what
also made him fit to discuss his topic. Ladies and gentlemen, please join me in welcoming our speaker, Sir Ian Joseph T. Supan!

Sol: Thank you so much sir Supan for giving us a very informative talk about Jeofractoon.

Eliza: Since the speakers are already done with their talk, let us now proceed with our question and answer portion. To those
who would like to raise a question, you are free to use our chat section. Thank you very much.

QUESTION AND ANSWER

Sol: What skills will be developed in using math songs? (Dianne)

Eliza: Why do you think we have to consider Jeofractoon as an innovation? (Ian)

Sol: How can we assure that all students will participate in the game? (Ezra)

Eliza: Can you give examples of reinforcement that we can give our students when they participate in the game? (Ezra)

Sol: Is it effective to use math songs in a specific topic? (Heidi)

Eliza: Is it effective to use Jeofractoon as a primary tool in assessing our students in the lesson about operations on fractions?
(Ian)

Sol: When we use your method, does it mean that the students’ grades will be based on games rather than the traditional exams?
(Ezra)

Eliza: I think that is the last question. Thank you so much participants for raising your questions and I hope that you’ve been
satisfied with their answers.

Sol: At this moment, we would like to give appreciation to our respected speakers for sharing their knowledge and ideas about
their newly discovered innovations in the teaching and learning process.

Eliza: Also, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your presence at this webinar. This webinar wouldn’t be this
successful without your participation.

Sol: Thank you very much participants! We hope that you learned a lot with this webinar.

Eliza: Thank you so much everyone! We hope that you can apply what you have learned from this on your future lessons. Have
a nice day and may God bless us all.
