In this activity, my students are going to use Elementari to create a storybook about
Johnny Appleseed.
Pedagogy

Activity: Students will be introduced to Folk Hero John

Chapman, aka, Johnny Appleseed. The teacher will
introduce the story and tell the highlights in her
notes. The students will listen to the story of Johnny
Appleseed on video as written by Patricia Demuth and
listen to the Johnny Appleseed song on YouTube. The
students will then complete the timeline sequencing
handout about his life which they will cut, paste and
color.
