To whom it may concern,

Above is the breakdown of multiple options for providing instruments to a high school

band of 50 students. The attached excel document breaks down the prices even further. While

there are less expensive options than the instruments listed on the attached document, the student

level models were chosen both for quality and durability as well as price. Purchasing low quality

instrument leads to them needing replaced often and raises the overall cost over a period of time.

The top two lines of the above table show the amount needed to purchase a student level, school

owned, instrument for every student as well as one extra of those instruments owned by the

students. These extra instruments are for cases when one needs a repair so the student can

continue playing and learning in class. The bottom line is the budget requested for typical repairs

and maintenance which are also listed on the excel document.
